An Italian tradition

The “corredo” is an ancient Italian tradition. From a young age, women were taught embroidery in order to create a set of intricate, unique linens for the home that they would one day bestow on their daughters on the occasion of their wedding. Making a full corredo could take over a decade. Beyond the objects, Corredo is about craft, homemaking, legacy, and women’s dignity – as women, regardless of social status, created objects meant to bring beauty in their descents’ everyday life.

We work with the oldest weaving foundation in the south of Italy: the same skill, the same threads, now building homes on your own terms. We, future ancestors, decide what we carry forward and what we leave behind. 

Corredo is what we choose to carry: a way to build a legacy, a home, a web, at a time when grounding is hard to come by. A way to insist that humans matter, in a culture built to make us feel disposable. A radical beauty: to make less, and make it mean more.
